This is one of those I wish I could grow, but it just doesn't get cold enough.

Its a shame you have nt a big fridge and grow them in pots to give it the winter chill. Having a cold late spring its kept away the lily beetle which has eaten the flowers every year except one year and this year.

I find them easy Dawn its just the lilly beetle you have to watch out for.

Yes it is Gnarly gnome it comes up the same time each year then the lily beetle attacks it because of the cold no sign of lily beetle but I did spray soon as the foliage appeared this time.

Try putting a couple of Garlic bulbs,in the soil,3d..the local radio Gardener always did that,and never had anymore Lily Beetles..it worked for him..or make a garlic spray ,which works on other plants ,especially green and whitefly...you can buy one,which is what I did,as I didn't know what the ratio mix should be..
