I dont know if that all natural or if they pruned the sides. Delonix would know. Others are more..hemisphere..but also smaller.

Yes Delonix would know he loves his Ficus ☺ thank you Stan.

Stan,

Look around there's larger ones in the Bay Area. lol! :>))

It is most likely pruned. Most F. benjamina grow wider than upright.

My eye's are open. The bay area is wakening up to its been 30 years since a deep freeze. I see people trying tropical things outdoors more and more.

I'm sure you'll see more and more tropicals in the coming years.

I picked up a couple of orchids at the Chabot Flea Market,Andy. They had some Mango tree for sale too.
Did you ever think the day would come when Mango tree's ( 4+) would be sold at flea markets in Hayward?
So far..its a cool spring. Not going to be a hot summer. Last year, had a nice warm start to finish.

Yes, actually I did think it would become common for mango trees to be sold at the flea markets. :>))

I do remember the farmers market in Irvington used to have tropical guavas and mango trees available for sale when I lived on Bruce Dr. I purchased my Manila Mango tree at Regan's Nursery which did so well there. I can imagine how large that tree would be if it hadn't been cut down. Most likely 15 to 20 ft tall. It bore mangoes when I lived there. However, it most likely would have many now.

The large mango tree I posted in February is loaded with so many egg-sized mangoes, it's unbelievable! This tree is so loaded, it thinks it's growing in Honolulu, HI! LOL!

This is the tree:

I see that was posted when we were having 80f in February.
I'm watching the news and its just as cool in Tijuana as here in the bay area.
The forecast for next week are conflicting. Some say near 80 by Wednesday, another says nothing but a cool 70f and that's it.
I miss those warm drought years!

It was in January when we were having the 80's and low 90's, after the mid-February it starting getting cool.

OMG!!! It's freezing here!!! It was only 64 degrees here windy, cloudy and drizzly. Very gloomy...it felt like San Francisco. lol! It suppose to start warming up on Thursday back to the 80's and possible 90's by Friday and Saturday. We'll see...
