I did have a really nice one once - it was on a bed of rice on one of the floating restaurants in Hong Kong.

lol Wylie they taste like a chewey liver to me mine was shot by an ex boyfriend he gutted it I plucked it then we had it for tea his nan owned Brandon farm here so they had shooting rights her pet Ram was in the freezer for 13 years which we had some for dinner and a brace of Pheasants which had been in the freezer for 21 years waiting for her friends to collect them who owned them .
Lovely photo but pidgeons are a pest in my garden too messing all over my path which prevents me going out in the garden..

It is getting to corn planting time around here, and right after one of the farmers plows a field, it is full of pidgeons. Conventional wisdom says to wait 3 days after plowing to sow, but the flying rats still return for the seeds. My cats are getting better at taking down a couple of them.

They are not daft they know when to come then . Yes pigeons are clever at spotting seed from far off my old neighbour years ago use to keep them in a loft for racing he failed to tell me not to leave my baby out side un attended in the pram the young lad who went shares with him told me if they see the pupil of her eye laying in the pram they will swoop down to peck her eye out thinking its seed.
That's fantastic your cats are getting better at bringing them down they will soon be expert acrobat's ?

Years ago, my OH had a contract to go around London in the middle of the night to clear some of the pigeons, especially around Trafalgar Square. The 2 policemen with them got bored and wanted a go. Their aim wasn't any good and they shot out most of the street lighting. Hubby didn't get the contract again.
