I haven't had to plant these for about 10 years now. They self seed, and if you cut the flower heads off after they bloom, they will last for a couple additional years.

I tried that Wylie it was ok but over winter even foliage is dead so I ve cut it right back foliage stems to as they were dead I think its dead myself but I ll wait and see when our weather warms up no sign of life has appeared yet.

I had E.candicans/fastuosum for a few years until it got too big and had to take its chances outdoors. It died. A gem of a plant.

It does get rather large. Mine is competing for space with several Geranium maderensis (the pink flower in the background).

The cold killed mine this winter I was really disappointed . Its great to see yours is starting to bloom .
