My red Clianthus puniceous was devastated by the snow and sub zero temps. in March. A small recovery but lots of dead branches.

My two white ones were devastated too 3d but one has a few leaves now and 3 white flowers. I've got seven babies of the pink one 'Pink Flamingo' grown from seed, about three inches high at the moment and a few cuttings in a pot of the red so fingers crossed.

Goodness those stems are woody, I'm surprised the frost got at them. Still it's now looking gorgeous in places.

It was the leaves and flower buds that the cold got to and killed Sue but I've been waiting to see if anything new sprouts before cutting right back. Ever the optimist, my mum used to say "where there's life there's hope". On the plus side , that really cold spell will have killed a lot of pests in the garden too.

Be patient Thorney, my Abutilon is just starting to re leaf after frost damage, then I'll cut out the dead bits.
Hopefully Daylily Gall Midge and Fuchsia Gall Mite will have been cut back too by the harsh winter.
