This highly poisonous tree is very toxic, just like its close relative Oleander. It's a beautiful tree with extremely sweet-smelling flowers. This tree is not very common in San Diego because it's so very ultra-tropical. It appears to really like this south-facing area. Photo taken May 6, 2018.

Nice cultivar. More upright?..is that new color part of the Enchanted?
Sort of Singapore dwarf Plumeria looking.

Penny,
I can't wait to see the flowers, also. I've only seen this tree growing and flowering at the Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawaii.

It's an upright tree. This tree is only 5' tall. It's looks great for growing in San Diego. I didn't think it could grow here at all.
It is related to the Plumeria.
My Horticulturist friend is going to start a cutting for me. Maybe I'll get a plant this summer. :>))

Oleanders are grown in space between the highways here. To avoid the effect of headlights. Also to avoid people crossing the road. Considering its toxic aspect it is not cultivate in gardens.
