Holboellia latifolia - 2018

Climber for sun or part shade away from cold winds, reaching 15 to 20 feet. Supposedly none too hardy, it came through the 2010/11 winter as a youngster, but does not like being wrapped in fleece so is now left unprotected during the winter. It carries both male flowers (white) and female ones (pink) but I have not got any of its sausage-shaped fruit yet

I'm kicking myself now as I passed one up the other week as I thought that it would be too tender. Lovely plant Andrew.

Yes, the puya doesn't seem to have noticed the winter at all
