This pops up everywhere - in my pots and in my woods. I never planted any, it's just a volunteer.

There are too many "gifts" when you live in the more rural areas. I have been pruning some trees, and I know that underneath them are thousands of seeds wanting a little sun so they can germinate and infest the place. They put in a new road a few years back that goes past my woods. Before it was a heavily shaded path. Now there is lots of sun, and grasses are appearing and the ferns are expanding along the road.

That's the trouble with modernisation Wylie you get to many unwanted things coming up. Sad though they over crowd's the good ones you want to keep which causes more work to keep them.

Sounds Garden of Eden like. When I managed a University greenhouse collection I did have a white flowered Begonia be a pest. That was in a warm humid greenhouse.
Outdoors in the bay area..Never seen the same thing Wylie even if Begonias bought do fine outdoors.
