I love your use of Glads! My Mom loved them and grew them always...I used to think "oh not more of those!!!" (I was a underappreciative brat!) They add height (vertical lines) to a garden and the flowers are so lush and exotic looking... Great garden!

thanks Lori, they have come out lovely and big this year - some of them are nearly as tall as me, but we have had such horrible weather here, quite a lot of them have been knocked over in the wind and rain, dispite my supports! still i have'nt wasted them i have done some lovely arrangements in the house with the lime green gladis and the 'claret' sunflowers which have also taken a bashing. a really stunning combo that i had'nt thought of, might plant some of the 'claret' sunflowers in with them next year.

Any pics of these arrangements, it sounds like a interesting combo.

That's a great idea Wohlibuli... Majee, have you any lime green nicotiana? Just checked...yes you do... it might look really good in an arrangement too...

I love the way you've landscaped your yard, the lattice work partially divides up your yard and gives you something to wonder over and check out, to see what's on the other side.

sorry i don't i should have taken some should'nt i, but they do go over so quick indoors don't they and they are past there best now. i'll make sure i remeber next time, and by the looks of the weather i don't think you will have to wait very long to see my flower arranging skills as there are loads getting knocked over as we speak! and thanks Fl, it is such a long thin garden it really did need dividing, i have plans for more trellis soon, to give a bit more secrecy - especially up the end where the work area is. just a bit short on funds at the moment and have a real job locating a couple of trellis panels like the one i already have, they are either the wrong size, wrong shape or wrong size squares. - if anyone sees one like mine please let me know where you saw it.

thanks Sarah, i am quite pleased with it, but still room for improvement! i have a few ideas that i am waiting on money and also my back has been playing up at the moment so will have to wait a while. lol

I know the feeling, it isn't my back but I have a hand in a splint (thumb actually) that is hold me back.
