Digitalis UNIDENTIFIED, Identification Needed Please. (Digitalis)

I thought this Digitalis was lutea it's so long since I've seen the flowers on this perennial Foxglove, but no they're small and brown, so then thought ferruginea, but those who grow, think not.
One 1 -2 cm flower in each leaf axial, after the basal rosette.

How unusual never seen one like it.

Not sure it is? The flowers aren't tightly packed. I sent you seed of digitalis stewartii, did they grow?, the flowers on those are tight together too. Strange how it's not flowered for years, isn't it, nice surprise.

That's interesting...

Dawn, stewartii plantlets are in the ground, doing well, thank you. I germinated your ferruginea, but they damped off. Mm, looking at pics of ferruginea it does look bigger and flowers more tightly packed. These flowers are only 2 cm in length. I'm wondering if they are D. lanata, they do have a little white lip.

Not like my ferruginea Siris, flowers are all round.

Thank you Dawn and Thorney for your identification comments.
I can't even remember from where I got the seed. It's has quite nice leaves, tidy. I moved the plant from where it was was a couple of years ago, cause it never flowered there. I spent last evening looking up Digitalis species.

Parviflora? I sent you seeds from a couple of different diditalis seeds I got from Hampton Court, ferruginea and lanata I think, and a piece of my ferruginea but I don't have one like this.

Thorney, I don't think that was me?

Siris, could it be digitalis ferruginea schischkinii? The flowers on that still look tighter packed though.

Dawn that looks more like it. On this middle bit of the stem there is a flower in each leaf axil, at the top just tightly packed flowers, another photo is called for.

Then there's this along thorneys line of thought - Digitalis parviflora 'Milk Chocolate'

15 Jun, 2018

Parviflora, a short lived perennial, that would be a shame.
Schischkinii, a flower will fit on a human digit, these are too small.
Thorney, I think you are correct, thank you. I must look in my seed tin to see if I've got the empty packet.
