House wren

This little house wren built a nest in a bird house in my garden. She's cute but oh so noisy!!

Great shot, I'm not so sure she is impressed with having it taken though. Is she having something to say about it? I understand they can be very noisy little birds. I have only seen one once around here a few years ago, but we get a relative, the Carolina Wren all the time. They come to the bird bath and to take dust baths in my patio boxes and will even come in the garage if you leave the door open too long. They are very curious little birds but get to close and they will screech at you big time!

We have wrens here too but they are very shy.

Oh, she's lovely and such a strong, determined little bird. I spend my mornings at an old estate house, and there's one in the kitchen garden, she sings her heart out. A month or so ago I had a great tit fly in the old kitchen hovering around, looking for somewhere to nest.
