Yes, my records say from seed, but I was given 1/2 doz of various ones from the lady along the road, but they were mostly tender ones, Phyllis's Fancy, African Skys, which didn't come thro' the winter, but I took cuttings beforehand, but not big enough to go out yet.

This one is tough, it's come through some harsh winters here.

Same here, and such a pretty colour too!

Wether I take cuttings from the tender ones this year, or just let them expire if they don't like the winter cold is to be seen.

Same here, I have a couple growing well that look like amistad, I know I took cuttings, I will wait and see.

I haven't even got around to putting pics in my File of all the varieties I have, they really difficult to focus on.

I know, I never capture the true colour of this one on camera. I had a panic last week, I cut my original one back and lost it but phew my cuttings are now flowering to show I still have it.

Cutting them back will make them thicken out, more bushy.

Do you do after flowering?

I would trim after flowering just to make tidy, but cut back further in spring before they start growing again.

Thank you, scarey, I will collect seed and take cuttings too to be safe, this one is special to me as so reliable coming through each winter so don’t want to lose them
