Question for Wylieinthe Azores... do you emasculate the Pod Parent? I have only been capping the stigma immediately after pollinating. This was before I learned about lifting the style to aid pollen transfer down to the ovary.

Well done Siris, I just grow them, no time to do anything serious with them lol!!

I'm not serious, just playing at it. Also I've not got the range of potential parents to produce anything different.

You never know.....

I've had some nice Salvia crosses because they can hybridize naturally but I've never set out to make a cross. That is a good result.

Disappointed that the result is identical/similar to the pod parent, that's why I was wondering if it was self pollinated.
