Beautiful little fella!

I fancied he looked a little dry and grumpy. Poor wee guy, it's even worse now. the water level in the frog pond is getting critical. (both streams have dried up completely)

He's in even worse shape now it seems... We had a thunderstorm but there was so little moisture with it that the lightening has started fires on the high ridges... just what we need, fires, and no water to fight them with. This summer will be remembered as the desert summer. I have put out extra water baths for the birds and small animals and all the kitchen liquids are saved for the garden.

How sad for him . How awful having fires there with no water kids here have been setting grass fires even one in a small town where I shop close to a petrol station makes me wonder what kind of brains people give birth to.

Seems you ve had the worse of both sides with the weather you snow in spring and now drought . You ll have to get some horse troughs or old baths Lori just in case of fires come near you .

You may be able to find a more complete report of this on CBC news.ca...but there was a grassfire in a field that was being used to park cars for a lavender festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Millions in damages as the stubble in the field ignited and spread.
Brains, indeed, Penny. The genetic damage has been done, methinks.
The scale of the fires here, Penny, means evacuation. No choice at all...you're told by the police to vacate and if you try to stay behind you're liable. I pity people with livestock..cattle and sometimes even dogs are left behind.
Not a situation I would wish to contemplate. I'll be streaking down the road with a dog, a cat and a bird, any food we can carry, water, (of course) and hub at the wheel, as I still can't see my nose before my face. Just got dates for my surgery...August. I can't wait to see again.

Yes I ve the usa police evacuate people when there are fires on the news. I cant imagine what I would do either Lori you having pets too . People that have cattle it must brake their business.

What surgery are you having hope its not to serious but good luck.
