These are in pots but my other two are in the ground one is an evergreen never fails to flower the blue one took a few years to flower in amongst other plants surrounding it .
My soil is more on the acid side they say to get them to flower keep them in a pot I have another big one in a pot yet that has never flowered.
In the past plants having different soil likes I use to dig a bigger hole and tip the soil the plants like then fill around the plants with that soil to start them off .

It needs to be a large pot. I have mine in 10", and after a year, I need to divide and transplant. I got them from Bali Hai Nursery - in little pots, and they grew all winter, multiplying, and are now huge clumps. I am going to try half in the pot, half in the ground. The advice I read said that if it doesn't flower in the ground, put it in a pot; and if it doesn't like a pot, put it in the ground.

Only once have I been successful in growing these and it was in the garden where we lived down the road. I can't seem to grow them up here. Any tips on where and how to be successful.
