I've been having a comical scene in my garden with the goldfinches & cardinals trying to get the sunflower seeds before the seeds are ready. They've been bopping up and down, swinging upside down & dancing around but nothing they do will make the seeds ready to be eaten. They have to wait with the rest of us. lol

At least they know where to find them Paul when they are ripe.

That's true. for now, the bees are enjoying the sunflowers, and they pollinate my tomatoes while they're at it.

The bees do a tremendous job of keeping everything producing well....our food and the flowers...and of course with the honey bees.....lovely honey. We have seen a lot more bumble bees this year and it's good to see...although we haven't seen many of the coloured butterflies, mostly the whites.

Sunflowers are one of my favourite flowers and the birds like the seeds too.
