This is the first time that this rare plant has bloomed for me.

This is it's third season from seed. I.fuchsioides is a notoriously shy bloomer here.

How is it growing for you there?

It grows steadily, not fast, not slow, just steady!
The only issue I can see is keeping the fresh growth protected as this is where it'll bloom from next spring.

Wow! The first time? How long have you had it?
It grows into a monster shrub here, with tons of flowers most of the year. It loves water, though.
