Balcony,
Hubby has a question, how do you manage the water that flows from the pots after watering? And when is raining? In your balcony. Here in my balcony the floor is concrete, but in our house it is wood.

As the balcony floor is concrete I have no problems! Any way the pots on the railing, as well as the the 3 troughs on the middle bar, have 3 big troughs underneath them on the balcony floor so any water from the pots & troughs above falls into the troughs on the floor!

The pots on the middle bar have plastic saucers underneath them so only water from the 3 small troughs actually falls onto the troughs below.

If you have a wooden floor in the balcony in your house you will have to put saucers/plates underneath each pot & take care not to splash much water onto the wooden floor! Obviously any water that falls onto the floor will need to be dried up as soon as possible

Several coats of wood varnish should help as well.

Had to translate throug to find out what were you talking about, but all understood. We are thinking of suspending the vases off the balcony, locking in the eaves of the ceiling instead of hanging on the supporting beams. Will see.
