Acanthus sennii - 2018 (Acanthus sennii)

Ethiopian shrub that behaves like a perennial in British gardens. Give it the hottest, sunniest place in your garden with sharp drainage

That beats the British one!

That looks even more prickly than our normal one. I love the colour. I have just removed as much as possible of Acanthus spinosus which was taking over a big area. Is this a "runner" Andrew?

Prickly, a place where it won't stab people! Thank for asking the 'invasive question' Thorney.

So far, in five years, I have one piece coming up away from the main clump, so I don't think it's much of a "runner."
But prickly, yes!!! Even dead leaves are horribly spiky.

Its unusual I haven't seen one in that colour ..
