this will need another prune in the spring as it is starting to stop the gate being fully opened.
this summer it had lots of insects that I couldn't identify other than parasitic wasps etc. lots of different bee species too.

I like the horizontalis but it always suffered from some kind of leaf miner... it was planted in the small garden of a townhouse I used to live in... wonder if it's still there?

Lovely colour and as you say loved by bees when in flower. Mine is flat against a fence and kept to 6ft tall.
