I keep it on the front porch..this year in November I put it out in the open to get more winter sun. When it was in bud I was supposed to move it back to the porch. Things got hectic, family, illness (me!) and today I saw the bloom a little worn from cold rains. Now back on the porch.

Its nice today..we are in a sunny break from the rains Penny. That Orchid is called "Gypsy". It can take bay area winters.
