DD - can I suggest a small trough that won't dry out as quickly as pots? I have three imitation stone ones for some of my smaller bulbs, as well as a raised bed

My OH wanted to put them in our troughs!!!! and I wouldn't hear of it...so now it's I told you so.........thanks for the suggestion Andrew!

There should be an option to "like very much"! Those are really gorgeous.

Re troughs, for me they certainly do better in containers in subsequent years - they don't survive in the garden as they get too wet in the summer but the containers can be kept dry under cover until growth starts..
