You need to start a Tree Veneration Society, Stan! All venerable trees would be photographed in situ and added to a database. Keeping track of them would be easier. most people think that to be ancient a tree must be huge...not so. one ancient in Sweden is thousands of years old but only 20 ft. tall.
I recently saw a picture on Fb. and the subject was an antique logging truck. On it's bed it had three huge logs, said to be about 8 or 9 ft. across and the full length of the trailer ..with an overhang. Imagine how old those logs had to be? People were goggling the huge old truck...and I wanted to cry. The damn truck is probably rust now...but those trees would be still living if they'd been given a chance. sorry... greed and ignorance makes me cuss.

I know Lori. I feel the same way when youtube sends those "recommendations" for some reason of huge tree's chainsawed down by people who for some reason think that's an accomplishment.
I like big trees to stand.
