It's only certain parts of the UK that have the red ones Wales and Scotland as far as I know.

I liked them until I found they pinched bulbs from my garden and planted them somewhere else. They were not quite as generous with their donations to me as they were in giving away my favourites. We live on the edge of a country estate. The woods around here are being felled and displacing the birds and animals who lived in them.

Yes they ate a bowl full of my favourite crocus a few years back yet never touched them in my garden touch wood.

What a lovely area you live. Shame they are felling the woodland by you they did the same the top of my lane that displaced all the wildlife they then build houses and disabled bungalows on it.
The same where one of my sisters lives inside Berkswell Hall on a country estate they were cutting down old oak trees it was more they way they were cutting them she reported them as she is a director of Berkswell Hall she was nt to pleased to discover in the reply stating the land they sit on is owned by Spain and they are replacing them with some Fir trees then later had notice they were going to build more houses there.

The estate has failed twice to have the land included in a future housing plan but they do grow and cut trees every 30 or 40 years as a commercial crop. To save myself from high blood pressure I try not to get wound up about what I see as quite disgraceful planning applications. I wonder when the penny will drop that going green should start with keeping our green spaces.

That's good to hear that planning refused building houses. No it's no good making your self ill Scotsgran it is nt worth it like I tell my kids with the likes of Britex why argue they will do what they like irrelevant of what we say they always have.

The same with councils if not now it will be later they will keep putting these plans forward what they want until they get it. Councils give or sell the land to contractors to build or knock down houses until they are built and sold then they share the profits and then the land they are built on goes back to the council. The same is happening here only they are building on all our green belt cramming houses into every little gap and crime has risen terrible knifing shootings people getting hi jacked steeling their cars even stabbing people to get the car a recent one was in the national news I said this would happen to the researcher when Blair sent out researchers asking us on our door steps about flooding the UK with immigrants the crime will rise and discontentment job loses etc. So I agree with you they should start going green by keeping our green belts.
