I love how these emerge to life out of the ground

Hi Bathgate, lovely hosta! I’ve just added something very similar. I like the lushness of them, hoping the slugs don’t cause destruction!

I would recommend 'Sluggo' or something similar. Don't count on the slugs leaving your hosta alone. They can destroy a plant in one night.

Thanks Bathgate, I used to rely on hedgehogs munching on them, but sadly the numbers around here are on the severe decline.

Metaldyhyde slug pellets are to be banned in the UK in 2020, because of their harm to wild life, particularly hedgehogs.

Looks like a bluish colour when glimpsing at it. Lovely one.

Slugs are difficult to control once they find a food source. They're active at night and they can hide easily under the foliage. Thank You all. Things are really getting busy here.

Thanks Thrup. I think this one is called 'Blue Flame' but it's so old I'm not sure but it's something blue. lol Glad you like it. :)

Your welcome Paul well that's good to know and against the dark foliage the flowers will stand out better.
