I love Humming birds. It's a shame we don't get them in Europe. Welcome to GOY. It's a very friendly and helpful site.

I had no idea yall didn't have hummingbirds.. guess they come up from South America. I'll try to take a picture, the little rascals are really fast!!
I lived in Kentucky before I came to NC. I had a big hummingbird feeder and about 20 hummingbirds came daily. It's kind of alarming if you are sitting near by. They sound like great big bees and will just Zzipp past your head!

Welcome to GOY Winter13. For some great hummer photos, look at Tastyg's pics, she's fast with the camera. I am in Georgia and have a feeder outside my den window in a Mimosa tree, but will only get one hummer at a time. They fight over it. Years ago, on a trip to Jamaica I saw a hummer so small that I mistook it for a green bee! Hehe.
