Dd, the pic was taken on a grey damp dull day.

Siris it doesn't even have the same growing pattern......have never seen one with so many flowers, looks nothing like ours, will post a pic, see what you think?

It contrasts beautifully with the copper foliage of the Cotinus ..

I must admit that my first thoughts were that it was the wrong colour. But having said that my camera seems to struggle with some reds at times.
