One fat King/Bangalow palm. (Archontophoenix cunninghamiana)

Usually slender palms...this one is really stout. You can see its wide from bottom to top..not much taper.
It's also in seed.

Wonderful palms Stan! So lush and green. Both trunks look good, slender or stout!
Like the planting to the right of the pic too!

Stan,

With the stout trunk means it's really healthy! And getting lots of water. I saw so many Archontophoenix cunninghamiana on my trip to the SF Bay Area last week.

My Alexander Palm (Archontophoenix alexandrae) is getting a large trunk.

An alexander palm would do ok here. But,the very cool tolerant Bangalow is a slam dunk here. Still,It would be nice to spot another Archontophoenix species here. Purple trunked,A.maxima and others for a change.

I did see some Achontophoenix maxima and purpurea there in Berkeley and Richmond a long time ago.

Archontophoenix alexandrae 'Beatrice' used to be grown up there, also. However, this one is very tender!
