I love these unusual looking plants. This one has a lovely red edge on the leaf and speckled stem.

this one is in a pot but it has been outside all winter. I do have a couple in the ground under the beech tree. They are in leaf with a flower forming Bjs They are buried a good 6 inches deep.

If I take photos on my Canon Ixus 230 camera in Portrait orientation, then put on my IPad, viewers, not on an Ipad, would see that pic sideways on.

Back to the Arisaema, do you know the species, mine, A.costatum hasn't got the stem markings.

it was sold as speciosum.

Looking closely at mine, it has a very thin red edge to the leaves. It is in the ground in a shady spot, second year it's been there, got a baby by its side now.
