One of my all time favourite annuals. Grew it for my mum when I was a little girl of 7 or 8.
sowed seed her in spring 1996 and have never had to since.

I bought nigella seed from an Asian supermarket, think it's called kalonji, a couple of years back & was surprised that some I sprinkled in the garden grew pretty well.
At about £1 for 250g you could seed a small field!

by chance they have seeded next to some self seeded peachy Eschscholzia californica and I must say they look pretty together. will add a photo when I can get out and take one [raining again].

Raining here all day SBG. The lanes are rather wet either side near the verges and it's like driving along a water Chute.
