Picking every day now

They look yummy. I’ve had to ditch my strawbs. That will teach me to try new and unusual varieties. They were so tasty, but they just weren’t growing at all. I think I’d have been waiting for the first berries in September! So I sowed some carrots instead, and maybe try a better variety next year.

These have done really well this year Karen we're picking them every day , before we moved it was a fight to see who could get them first us or the squirrel luckily the squirrel hasn't found us here 'yet '

They look luscious. Do you know the variety? I've been picking Cambridge Favourite for a while, the 3 special plant varieties I bought last Autumn are loaded with fruit, but just starting to ripen.

Amy: To keep the squirrels away, Empty your vacuum cleaner 'fulff' around your strawberries. Sounds crazy but it really works. The scent of humans & predators is enough to drive them off.
