A huge bulb, which has produced masses of offshoot bulbs, so much so I'm trying a pot of this tender plant outside during the summer.

Our Crinums are planted out in the borders!! is it powellii, have seen them planted in ponds!!! I dislike the scruffy leaves....but love the flowers!!

No, it's not powelii. I do have that variety, thats planted in the border, but has never flowered in all the time I've had it. This pic is of C. longifolium, I think, not hardy, stays evergreen in the conservatory and flower each year, increasing the bulbs quite readily.
