Long ago ago lost track of the type but glad I didn't give up on them

Do you remember what yours are Thorney? I started mine indoors & had endless problems with aphids & spider mite even through Winter. Now I 'm glad I didn't just stick them in the compost dalek!

I have chilli chenzo, a black one, and ghost, a red hot naga chilli which I bought in a pot. I got mine going in spring but it's been hot most of the time so they're on the move now. My scotch bonnets came to nothing but there's still time.

The seeds I bought are all mild ones that I got as an alternative to the hotter ones that I can buy locally quite cheaply. Had dreams of pickling & tasty bean salads...
Most easy to grow & really productive were the cayenne type, quite hot & easy to dry for flakes or fine grinding. I'm a big fan of making my own dry spice mixes to give my grub a bit of variety without spending a fortune
