Grown from tuber this year....left in bed over the winter with plenty of mulch.....such beautiful purple edging.

that's really special Meadowland. pretty edgeing detail... I have two which I bought this spring. They're up, finally, but no sign of blossom! Looking forward to "dinner plate" size blooms. one's dark red...the other's creamy white. anticipation...

Last time I had dahlias was in my town garden..and there was one which was close to the same colour as this one (minus the lovely purple edging) that was truly "dinner plate" size. I love these plants, can't wait to see them in bloom!
