The second flower on this plant seems to be double or trying to be. Weird.

That's good to know, Wylie. Daylilies dont seem to be that straight forward. I do like the colour of this, double or single.

Sometimes you get the odd double or polypetal. One of the questions for registering a daylily is if it is a double, and what the % of flowers are double. So doubles are not always double.
