I was standing in long grass and tall ferns being consumed by Deer Flies. Ouch! but I needed to get a pic of the mauve thalictrum.

I was fighting off a legion of blood sucking flies... the subject is blurry but the Joe Pye in the background is in perfect focus... lol.
