it is an amazing looking plant..and bearing the brunt of some criticism these days. This one has yellow flowers and should only be cut or removed with something that doesn't spray sap everywhere. The sap causes lesions if it gets into a cut or abrasion and also causes light sensitivity and blisters. There are two types...white flowered and yellow flowered. The White is by far the most deserving of respect. I get my hackles up when people become militant about any plant species. I tell them plants can't jump up and bite you... just leave it alone.

good sense, Meadow. I didn't plant this one either... it arrived via a bird or the wind..but it's growing in a lot of places along the highways. There was a terrible backlash against purple loosestrife a few years back. Now, the people who go out and weed fields and meadows in short sleves and short pants, are showing up with blisters and lesions from the sap of the plant and are howling for it's eradication. All that's needed is a bit of good information and some common sense.. in these days of instant communication that doesn't happen often though.

I've always wanted to learn watercolour techniques. I've been painting with acrylics for years now... and I like it better than oils. I've tried watercolour pencils. How long have you been painting? Painting the cow parsley sounds interesting.
