I put support in for all those lower flowers last night but it doesn't appear to mind the dry conditions.

Good idea ,the heads do get heavy ...

Thanks. The heads get so big the weight pulls them over. I love that you don't have to worry about pruning with it. It just dies back to nothing in wintr and comes up with new stems next year to repeat the process.
