awww I like my bumblebees! these spiders are very chameleon like. The other day I saw a housefly sitting in the centre of one of my open roses... I swept my hand above it to get it to move, and it didn't. I picked it out of the flower and who do you think was underneath? that was an OH YUCK! moment. Is it possible to post a video on here? I have a little pet in the window above my laptop. and I watched her snare a fly...wrap it...and drag it 6 inches across the screen and tip it into her hideyhole inside the window mechanism. It was fascinating and her sheer determination was amazing. so midway through her struggles I decided to film her. It took her about 5 minutes but she succeeded in bringing a big housefly into her larder. some will shudder and I apologise, but I found it disturbingly compelling.

Thanks for the link M. There's so much to learn, isn't there... from the plants to the insects, to fungi, to birds.. I feel like a custodian..more than a gardener.
Also, through that string I saw comments I made from my other account on GoY... Lorilyn57. I can't for the life of me remember the password to get into it. It's been dormant since 2013. Have two questions for the admins... can I merge the two accounts ...or can I regain access to my account? I tried Contact Us: and got a Oops! message. what the heck is that?

I forgot the password for my old account, it took a lot of tries to get it right 🙄 I now have it stored somewhere...? I couldn't find a way to merge the two but I'm quite happy to keep them separate as they're two different gardens.

These change their colour according to their background and hunt from an ambush, I've seen one attacking and killing a big bumblebee. Fascinating creatures.
