This one is a bit less robust than one I grew for 4 or 5 years,than that plant died of old age. Not long lived plants are Zebra Plants. This latest is into its 3rd summer now.

Thanks Kate. It's been used by Humming birds. Not sure how much nectar the native hummers get from these tropical plants.

Sounds lovely Stan! Hummingbirds...we get some nice birds, but nothing so pretty and exotic!

It looks excellent! I used to have one in the ground a very long time ago. It did really well! I left it at the other house 17 years ago.

Because of what you said Kate,I did some Googling. I had no idea that there are no Hummers in the UK.
I saw some complain that Hummingbirds cant put up with the cool climate of the UK..but Anna's Hummingbirds here on the west coast range up to Vancouver -all year.
I might try that Andy..the more in ground,the less water I use and the plants look better.

This plant is very tropical. I tried it several times up in the SF Bay Area. In winter all the leaves would fall off.
