Solanum Crispum “Glasnevin”

Solanum Crispum “Glasnevin” (Solanum crispum (Chilean potato tree))

Aka Chilean potato tree. In full bloom, needing a bit of a prune now. Just keeps on growing! Lovely lilac blooms with yellow centres, in clusters from summer through autumn. Loves full sun.
Very fast growing! Let’s just say, it won’t be getting to the eventual height of 6m tall!
Lovely though as the butterflies and bees really love it.

Hi Julia, it is pretty in “ real life “, but very prolific! It’s a semi evergreen. Flowers for months on end.

A lovely plant if you have room, and weather for it. I have neither! Did you take this from an upstairs window Kate?

Thanks Karen, yes I took it from one of the upstairs bedrooms, I managed to zoom in a bit too. To be honest, with my small garden, it’s pretty overwhelming. May have to prune it if any dry spells at the weekend!
