This is a lovely exotic Stan! Very lush new growth, I like this one.

Thanks Kate. You know I thought my monitor was really accurate on colors? Why I chose it. But,what I see is not the deep red it was in life. In life its a dark,glossy,burgundy.
If anybody sees that...you have a very good monitor!

Beautiful! I love mango trees flushing new growth! The mango trees here just flushed growth a few weeks ago.

It's starting to become a tree. How's the large mango tree?

Looks wise,Its now a small tree. Production is worse then when it was waist high. The larger it gets,the less fruit. I guess the last two winters have been wet and cool. This year was off the charts cold in May.
But if you look close..you can see two small green fruit on it.
Usually by now the fruit are large and by September they change from green to a tan -red-green blush.
Maybe one year- soon I hope- it will have a few dozen.

Yes, overall this year is not a good year for mangoes. It was too cool and rainy in May! I do see some trees here that are loaded with fruit, which boggles my mind! Some trees have no fruit at all, like the mango tree around the corner from me. It's full of new growth, though.

My little mango tree wants to flush growth. I hope it does soon! I cut off one of the main branches a month or so ago. This is so the energy can be put into one main stem. It's only 4' tall, I really though it would be closer to 6' tall by now. I guess one year in the ground isn't a long time for a mango tree. lol!

The tree is growing well...both are. The wait to see dozens of fruit is long unless you get lucky and the tree is bountiful. Mine started out that way Andy. Those were the drought years. Sunny and dry winters.

My mango tree has not put out any more growth this year. I'm really surprised since I've been giving it coffee grounds for acidity. I think its roots are still getting established.

Many of the mango trees here are flowering. I can't believe we're getting a cold and intense storm on Thanksgiving Day! It's crazy!

The larger had one stem flush...but small and I'm sure all is done until February and longer days gets the Mango's to -start- sending up spikes in the cool weather.
