Yes Kate they are a cooker eater apple called cobra, half bramley and half cox on a medium rootstock. They have suddenly swollen after the rain.

Yes Kate, definitely an apple pie or crumble. I usually make my crumble cooking the apples with either lemon juice or cranberry juice, and a little water, then using butter, plain flour and brown sugar, get it to a nice crumbly mix to put over the top and cook for about 30 minutes at 190 degrees until the top goes slightly brown.
