I don't think it's Mile a minute plant Meadowland, I believe that's a type of climber. This is commonly known as 'Mind your own business'

Hywel, some years ago I used to garden for a lady whose back courtyard was always damp and the 'Mind your own business' just took over! It spread over stones in her rockery, then started climbing up the brick wall. I didn't like it at all!

I also remember seeing it going out of control in people's back yards Shirley. That's why I keep it in a pot.

Yes it is hardy but it goes a bit brown in the winter. It spreads like wildfire so that's why it's in a pot.

Keep it in a pot ... it can become a thug.
The English name for it is "Mind Your Own Business" ! :(
