Just doesn't stop growing ... 8 ft 4" tall

Angela I protected mine with fleece last year as it was new but am unsure as to whether I need to do that this year ,do you protect yours every year ?

Amy, we have never protected them, we leave all the foliage on, then cut it down in the Spring......

Not the base....usually about 8...12 inches, as it was a new plant, we didn't this year.....but will next year!othwise they get too leggy!!

Thanks for that Angela , I had to re-pot my new cutting yesterday the roots were sprouting out of the bottom of the pot ,I'm surprised its taken so well :o)
