I have never managed to get it to grow. which host tree is it on?

Sbg - it's on an apple tree. I put about eight ripe berries on it about ten years ago, but only one 'took'. Last year it carried one berry, the first time I could tell whether it was male or female. I think the nearest ones are about 150 yards away

I'm so pleased for you Andrew , It's worth the long wait . I shall never see the berries from the plants i grew on the apple trees in my previous garden ...
