That’s a shame, it has such a wonderful scent - maybe you will have better luck if the sun shines on it?

I don't think so Sheila, I have never been able to smell it whatever the weather has been.

that's true for me too.
even in a vase in the house when every one comments on it I cant smell it. but I seem to be fine with other plants.

I'm another who can never smell this. I love the scent of Freesias but neither my husband or late Mum could ever smell them, odd isn't it?

do you get a peppery smell with freesia? I do but about 25% of the uk population don't get the pepper back note.

No Sbg, I think they have a really delicate, sweet perfume.
