This ‘ Fire Island ‘ gets better by the picture! I’ve been to New York a couple of times, years back, but didn’t know anything about this lovely place!

By all means, come - the beaches (I love a night swim - no sunblock needed). The food, people, entertainment, nightlife, nature all good. I would recommend coming in the summer time. The place really comes alive. Blog to come.
