Hellebores can be rather promiscuous so I remove the plants that I don't want setting seed if I've better coloured ones.
Ps, you've a better chance of getting doubles by hand pollinating 2 Double parents.

Thanks Karen.
Siris, I like the idea of not knowing what you’re going to get, bespoke :) I like the singles probably more than the doubles.

Quite a lot of mine are sterile, but I shall leave some seed heads on the ones that aren’t this year. I’ll let them seed themselves and transplant the seedlings. It will be really exciting to see what I get. I can grow them on in the wild area behind the greenhouse which is going to be planted with herbs soon.

Thanks 3d.
Karen, I’ve noticed babies around my H Tutu but I’ve ever collected. My plan was to grow lots from seed for the woodland.

Dawn, my Mum sent me one of her Tut seedlings. It came true.

What a beauty, Dawn. You’ve captured it really well, the lighting is just lovely.

So unusual.......have always removed the seed heads as I wanted to keep them pure......and I would be sure to dig the seedings up, knowing me! I tend to be a tad over enthusiastic when I am weeding!
