I have some violas in bloom, but the slugs get them too quickly to make it worth growing them.

Don't they, Amy? I try to grow them every year because they are the only plants that produce flowers during the cold, dark winter - during milder spells. :)
Wylie, for some unknown reason almost all of the one box of Violas I planted have died! :( Shame because I planted them in a square tub close to the balcony door so we could see them better through the window of the door.

Mine are from seed that fell into a planter and then germinated during the winter. They have been thriving on neglect.
